Biology
Course Outline
Biology is a course that talks about the human body in humans and animals and how our bodies work for example students will learn what is Meiosis and Mitosis, DNA, chromosomes, genes, and homologous chromosomes. Students will also learn about In vitro fertilization(process of being pregnant), GMO's (a normal plant or animal who's DNA is modified to kill pests and pesticides so humans won't get sick. You will also learn about the states of matter (Solid, Liquid, and Gas) and how those changes back and forth in different scenarios. Sometimes some teachers will teach you how to do a dissection for example the cow eye dissection you will do in grade 9.

Why should students take biology
Students should take Biology because they can understand life better, they can also develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. It can also open up opprtunities in the tech department (food science, or biotech), the healthcare department( being a doctor, nurse, or a veterinarian helping animals and people), The research department (trying to help find a cure for diseases like Cancer or diabetes), and for conservation purposes (helping the world end climate change, reduce greenhouse gas, cleaning up the oceans, and reducing pollution in the air). You can also become a biologist which you can learn about our evolution and how our species came to life as well as Charles Darwin's theory on the evolution of life.
My opinion on Biology
My opinion on biology is that it is a good course to take because it can benefit people who want to learn about animals or the human body I finished taking Biology a couple of months ago in my science class where we learned about DNA in the human body and other animals. We also learned a lot about other terms like In vitro fertilization, GMO's which I mentioned in article 1. We also learned about adaptive radiation which is when one group of a species is split apart from group 2, group 1 has specific traits while group 2 has different traits because of the way they had to adapt on the different parts of the island. To sum it all up this is a good course to take if you want to learn about nature and the human body.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Biology is a good subject to learn because you can study about the inside of humans, animals or plants (DNA, cells, organisms, or the process of cell division). You can also take the opprtunity for this course: to become a biologist, a scientist, a doctor, nurse or a veterinarian, a researcher who can help create drugs to end devastating diseases that have no cure, and a activist who can protest to help stop worldwide problems like climate change.
