English Composition
Course outline
English Composition is a course that talks about English terms, and Figurative language. You will also be studying short stories that you will read such as Harrison Bergeron, EPICAC, Man in the south, etc. (stories might change depending on which teacher you are assigned to). Finally, you will also be studying First Peoples Perspectives, values, and beliefs, and points of view. Students will respectively exchange ideas and viewpoints from diverse perspectives. Students will also learn to respond to the text in personal, creative, and critical ways. Students will use the writing process to connect and engaging audience, Finally they will be identifying Bias, contradictions, and distortions to support your points with evidence to make the text stronger.
Why you should take Composition
Students should take The Composition course because it can develop their critical and creative thinking skills. It will be useful for studying other short stories, and novels that you may read in the future as well. It will develop their communication skills. Finally,it will also be vital for them to succeed in school and in future careers.
My opinion on Composition
In my opinion, Composition is good because it has improved my writing skills, grammar, and punctuation. Second, I learned and summarized a lot of short stories that I have read (EPICAC, The possibility of evil, The cold equations, The Metaphor and many others). I have also compared all the short stories from the book to the film versions of the short stories. Finally, I am going to start novel studies which we read 1-2 chapters a day. The one that I will be reading is "The Chrysalids". Which is a very popular novel.

In conclusion, Composition is a good course to take because it can improve your writing, grammar, and communication skills. You will also be discussing short stories and reading novels to understand the story's texts and what the story is about.
