Math
Course Outline
Math is a course that talks about how to solve problems that involve math in everyday life, e.g (add all the prices up for the total price on your grocery receipt, or solving an algebraic or physics equation while working for a company that wants you to help solve its computer problems). First, you will develop strategies to solve puzzles and play games. Second, you will be solving word problems with persistence and positive disposition. Third, you will also be taking risks when offering ideas in a classroom. Finally, you will also use mistakes as opportunities to advance learning. The content that the students will be learning are: operations on powers with integral exponents, prime factorization, functions and relations: connecting data, graphs and situations, Linear relations: slope and equations of files, arithmetic sequences, systems of linear equations, multiplication of polynomial expressions, polynomial factoring, primary trigonometric ratios, and financial literary: gross and net pay.
Why students should take Math
Students should take Math because it can build a strong foundation for future math and science courses, it will also prepare them for calculus in college or university level studies. It will also strengthen students knowledge on math. Students will also be able to use math in the everyday world, also it can strengthen their critical thinking skills, and apply their knowledge on Math to the real world. This course will also be essential for students who want to take part in jobs in the STEM field, the Computers department, the Science department, a Mathematician, and a Math or Science teacher.

My opinion on Math
In my opinion, the Math course is good because it can strengthen your knowledge on what you know about math, for example, I used math this year when I was doing Physics in Science. I had to solve equations on energy using energy formulas. The work flow wasn't to bad and I got the hang of it. I like that I am doing Math because I am taking Computer Studies and most computer jobs require a lot of Math knowledge. Later this semester I am taking Chemistry which also requires a lot of math knowledge. If you are in Incentive Math or if you are really good at Math you can push beyond your limits and enter in Math contests ( like the (Pascal/Cayley/Fermat contests) to see how good you are in Math. There is also the Math club hosted in Mr Kwan's room where you can either catch up on homework there or follow and do activities on specific units in Math.

Conclusion
In conclusion, Math is a good course to take because First, it can strengthen your knowledge on the subject, Second, it can help you learn complicated calculations in school. Third, you can pass your tests or quizzes. Fourth, It can also apply your knowledge on how you use Math in the real world. Finally, you can also become a mathematician if you get really good in math, which you can inspire other people or using Math t make breakthroughs in the science department.
